Best Golf Courses in Baltimore

Do you have an avid golfer in your life? Baltimore is home to more than just crabcakes and the Ravens. We also have some of the most beautiful golf courses in the United States! Keep reading to learn more about some of the most popular golf courses in and around the Baltimore area.

Greystone Public Golf Course

This stunning golf course was designed by Joe Lee, the same architect of Doral Resort’s famed Blue Monster, and the courses at Walt Disney World. Greystone’s course featured 140 feet of elevation changes with a variety of layouts and challenges. The property features seven ponds and outstanding turf throughout the course. The entire course is built with Bent Grass and expertly maintained. Greystone has a course for everyone, especially with its vast array of challenges like tall trees, native vegetation, wetlands, and more. There’s even a Family Tee area, so bring your little ones along to practice!

The Woodlands Golf Course

Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Lindsay Ervin, the Woodlands is one of the most scenic golf courses in the area. Challenge yourself with 18 holes in the midst of tall trees and long fairways. The Woodlands also includes a clubhouse on-site and 36 holes total on the property. There’s even a fun outdoor pavilion, which is ideal for a post-tournament cocktail as you take in the scenic views. The Woodlands also has a sister course nearby called the Diamond Ridge Golf Course, which is worth checking out, too!

Rocky Point Golf Course

Rocky Point is the only waterfront golf course on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Designer Russel Roberts created this challenging, yet beautiful golf course among preserved natural wetlands. Enjoy 18 holes on this picturesque course, featuring some of the best views of the Baltimore area. This course is actually a bit shorter than most at just 6,650 yards. However, with its series of elevation changes and strategically-placed bunkers, it’s sure to be a challenge. There is also a weatherproof pavilion overlooking the bay that is positively beautiful for a meal or cocktail after your round of golf.

Fox Hollow Private Golf Club

We can’t leave Fox Hollow Golf Club off the list. This private golf course features a course that’s perfect for beginner players. The back nine of the course is newly designed and wraps around the driving range. Fox Hollow has been a favorite of Marylanders for over 40 years and hosts many different leagues throughout the year.

Forest Park Golf Course

Originally built as a nine-hole golf course, Forest Park now offers two styles and challenges to players. The course’s tight fairways, intimate tree line, and hilly terrain is sure to present a challenge to even the most experienced golfer. The Forest Park Clubhouse is a great place to unwind after a day on the course and can accommodate up to 150 guests.
