What could be better than a day exploring all the amazing things Baltimore has to offer? Bringing your four-legged friend along with you, of course! Lucky for Baltimoreans, there’s no shortage of exciting activities around the city to experience with your pet. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite restaurants, dog parks, and excursions in the area that both you and Fido are sure to enjoy!

Cruise Around the Bay

Looking for something different to do with your dog? Sign up for an adventurous day on the water with Cruises on the Bay by Watermark Baltimore. Dogs are welcome on all regularly scheduled cruises, plus they ride for free! While your dog won’t be able to join you for special event cruises, there are many exciting scheduled public cruises to take advantage of, like cruises around Baltimore Harbor. Dogs must be well-behaved and leashed through the duration of the cruise.

Baltimore Ghost Tours

Spooky season is just around the corner! Have your four-legged friend join you on an exciting ghost tour around the city. Baltimore Ghost Tours will allow you to bring your dog along as you explore some of the city’s most spirited haunts. The Original Fells Point GhostWalk or the Mount Vernon GhostWalk are both led by a costumed guide who shares the rumors, lore, and ghostly history about the tour area. There may even be a treat at the end for your furry friend! Dogs must be leashed and well-behaved while on tour.

Locust Point Dog Park at Latrobe Park

This fully-fenced astroturf park is every dog’s dream! Locust Point Dog Park at Latrobe Park is an off-leash section with trees and rock outcroppings for your pet to explore. There’s even a water slide for thrill-seeking pets! Be aware that there are no separate areas for large or small dogs. However, there are two time periods daily that the park is reserved for small and senior dogs. This dog park is entirely supported by volunteers, so be sure to be respectful and pick up after your pet!

Howards Park Dog Park

Pups and dog-owners alike will love the historic views of Howard Park Dog Park. Located in the historic area of Mount Vernon and Seton Hill neighborhoods, this park features separate areas for small and large dogs. This fully-fenced dog park is a great place to bring your pet. With 16,000 square feet of space, there is plenty of room for your pet to run around. Plus, the space includes dog drinking fountains, an agility log, synthetic turf mounds, and two rain-gardens. The community is required to clean, organize, and maintain this dog park, so please be respectful of their efforts while visiting the park.

Dog Watch Tavern

Treat your pup to a dog’s day out at this fun neighborhood tavern! In addition to skee ball, pool tables, and pinball, there’s also great food and outdoor dog-friendly tables. With plenty of happy hour, lunch, and late-night specials, there are ample opportunities to enjoy time outside with your furry friend!

BMore Licks

Even though summer is wrapping up, there’s still time to cool off with a delicious ice cream treat. BMore Licks is a fun ice cream shop with pet-friendly outdoor tables. They even have dog ice cream treats on the menu, like a bowl of vanilla ice cream - served with a dog biscuit, of course. Patrons can enjoy delicious ice cream creations like Pumpkin Pie, Maryland Mud, Cinnamon Bun, and more. Ready for the fall season and crisp air? Snuggle up with your pup and enjoy their seasonal Apple Crisp sundae with a cup of Baltimore’s own Zeke’s coffee.
